palms faced up: a collection of poetry & prose
Palms Faced Up explores sexuality, gender, race, and cultural politics. including poetry, non-fiction, prose, lyric essays, and experimental cross-genre work. this collection speaks to my personal experiences and the experiences of Black womanhood. evidence to showcase all of the facets we hold and all the journeys we have. i worked to ground this work in a humanity i think is lacking in our current time. this collection allowed me to stand as close to my convictions and truths as i could and taught me not to back down. including work from my entire undergrad career, i hope this collection brings you the same luminosity it has brought me along my journey. Enjoy!
